For that reason the […]

Red Sox Down on the Farm

-Week of April 14th- Pawtucket Garin Cecchini, 3B: The highly-touted third baseman has continued to impress at the Triple-A level. In 38 at-bats, he’s hitting .316 with a .366 on-base percentage. When Will Middlebrooks went down with a wrist injury and onto the disabled list, it looked as though Cecchini was going to get the call. He was overlooked in favor of free agent Ryan Roberts, though, meaning Cecchini will have to continue to prove himself at Pawtucket. Allen Webster, […]

    Sports Week in Review

By Benjamin Larsen Red Sox-Yankees: It was a good start but a rough finish to the weekend as the Red Sox dropped three of four to the New York Yankees. The Red Sox bounced back valiantly following a miserable home-opening series last weekend by winning two of three against the Texas Rangers. The momentum didn’t continue, though as the Bronx Bombers beat Clay Buchholz, John Lackey and Felix Doubront.
