    St. Louis 67-48 over Rhode Island WBB

    Saint Louis used a 12-0 first half run to establish an early 13-point lead en route to a 67-48 victory over Rhode Island Sunday. While the Rams were able to cut the lead to a low as seven points in the second half, they had no answer for SLU guard Jacy Bradley. Bradley scored 17 of her game-high 28 points after the break to lead the Billikens.

    Rams battle but fall to LaSalle, 72-65

    In a game televised by Cox Sports, Rhode Island lost to the LaSalle Explorers, 72-65, at the Ryan Center. “I thought we played well against one of the very best teams in our league and a team that’s going to go to the NCAA Tournament,” said URI Head Coach Dan Hurley. “We really did everything we wanted to do against a high quality team.”

    A cold shooting night hurt Rhode Island as the Rams fell 55-42 to Xavier Wednesday. Rhody shot just 24.1 percent from the floor, including 16.7 percent from 3-point range. Nikola Malesevic, Mike Powell and Andre Malone combined to go 1-for-17 from behind the arc. Xavier was led by forward Travis Taylor, who had a double-double with 13 points and 17 rebounds.
