Cooley wants Abdul Malik-Abu at PC

Providence Coach Ed Cooley has set his sights on Abdul Malik Abu for 2014 recruiting class. The problem is, nearly every school in the Big East has also, and at least one school in the Atlantic 10 conference, the University of Rhode Island.

ESPN says Abu is “ a physical specimen with a powerful build and the high motor to maximize his physical tools. He’s also a gifted athlete who moves well for a player of his size, gets off his feet easily, and is consequently a very good finisher.”

Cox Sports Recruiting Insider Adam Finkelstein adds, There may not be another big man in all of class AA (New England Prep) that can match his power and explosiveness inside the paint.”
