    This past Saturday ushered in a new chapter in an already storied running program at Providence College. The Friars ran their first ever home meet on the newly constructed Ray Treacy Track hosting Bryant and Stony Brook. In the men’s 3000 meter run, Juniors Benjamin Connor (Derby, England), Shane Quinn (Waterford, Ireland) and Liam Hillery (Smithfield, R.I.) took first through third, respectively.     In a NEC basketball game televised on OSN and streamed LIVE on coxsportsonline.com, the Bryant Bulldogs defeated St. Francis 83-79 Saturday. One game after scoring his 1,000th-career point, junior Dyami Starks eclipsed the 30-point mark for the fifth time this season, leading the Bulldogs to victory.
