    Cooling temperatures have the waters cooling off fast. Scup and sea bass are moving deeper, but people are still catching them at Block Island. Bluefish are becoming scarce. Striped bass are moving out with small stragglers still being caught. Cod are moving into their usual winter spots. Offshore there are still reports of yellowfin tuna, swordfish, and sharks if you can find the warmer water

    The weather has been tough lately, but there’s a nice window mid-week Inshore: Tautog is your best bet, big ones are deep go 50 plus feet.     The pre-rut is on, maybe pass up fishing and get in a tree stand. Inshore, Tautog, very good getting deeper try 35 feet plus of water. Scup and sea bass are mixed in. Striped bass is not good maybe try South Shore. Bluefish, slim picking. Offshore, cod is okay try clams on Coxes Ledge. Tuna, risky weather-big reward. T ry heading out if the weather breaks. Sharks, go west.

    Inshore, tautog fishing is good, just in time for Sunday’s tournament at Conanicut Marina in Jamestown. Scup and sea bass fishing is awesome. Striped bass have been hit or miss at Block Island inshore and estuary fishing has been incredible. False albacore and bonito are popping up along the South Shore, accompanied by surprise bluefin tuna! Offshore, bluefin are in the Mudhole. Shark fishing has been descent.
