Portsmouth’s Chrabascz picks Butler

Cushing Academy’s Andrew Chrabascz has decided to attend basketball powerhouse Butler University.

In Chrabascz, Butler landed a scrappy frontcourt player who will do all of the dirty work as well as the little things a team needs to win.

The 6-foot-7 Chrabascz, plays for the Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC) during AAU season, and chose the Bulldogs over fellow A-10 suitors UMass and St. Bonaventure, and URI.

Butler advanced to the NCAA finals the past two years. They will join the A-10 this season, giving URI fans a chance to see the player the Rams had recruited.

Adam Finkelstein talked with the Portsmouth, RI native, earlier this summer about his recruitment and development.
