The East Providence track and field team won the state title in thrilling fashion. It all came down to the final 4 by 400 meter relay where Joshua “Rambo” Rambert edged out Hendricken tripping over the finish line. It’s the Townies first title since 1996.
After going winless in 2012, the Mariners softball squad completely turned things around with a perfect softball season. There were also four players on the team riding a 32-game win streak that started back in January during the basketball season.
Coventry volleyball captains Frank Field and Joe Hanrahan visited the Varsity Life set last Monday fresh off their state championship. The two captains let the Oakers squad to a perfect 19-0 season, knocking off the defending champions for the Division 1 title.

Scituate senior Ali Mink recently passed away from brain cancer. She had played lacrosse for the team and they honored her at their senior night. The team wore pink shirts, Mink’s favorite color, and raised money for the organization that has been started in her name.
