The Rhode Island High School Hall of Fame Class of 2013 was announced recently. Frank Carpano hosted a dinner where the honorees were recognized. Ray E. Johnson, Dr. John Stellitano, Bobby Thompson, Stephanie Perry, Laura Turner O’Hara, Ron Wilson, Curt Bennet, Maura McGonagle Brown, Jane Forman, Philip W. Kershaw and Richard Lawrence were all inducted into the Hall of Fame.
In the first annual “Lime out” game, Toll Gate High School and Warwick Veterans High School put aside their rivalry in support of a good cause. Rachel Holt recaps the event and the success the school’s had on the afternoon.
Barrington High School unified basketball captured the division three title with a thrilling 30-29 victory over Chariho. Head coach Brian DeLaire and forward/guard Josh Linakis sit down with Frank Carpano in the first part of the interview. The Central High School boys’ volleyball season is enjoying a successful season in division two. They are a force to be reckon with and their coach believes all of their accolades are attributed to his three captains. Naroth Chao, Jonathan Rodriguez and Alex Sivilai have been playing together for several years now and are the backbone of the Central High School team.
